Today I did
these nice little ginkgo cupcakes which are meant as a giveaway at a
friend’s wedding.
I spent my
entire day working in the kitchen and it was soooo much fun.
Since they
had the ginkgo theme already at the invitations we agreed in using it for the
cupcakes again.
I started the
day before with making green ginkgo leaves out of colored fondant and let them
dry overnight. Today I baked a bunch of white choco muffins and covered them
with just a little bit of lemon mascarpone topping after they were completely
cold. Then I used the remaining white fondant which I rolled out and cut into
muffin sized circles. I took off another ginkgo shaped piece in the center of
the circle because in my opinion it looks better if there aren’t layers and
layers of fondant on the cupcake.
Afterwards
I packed all cupcakes in pastel green cups (which were made by the couple
itself) and little clear bags. Then I tied them with a light and dark green bow.
I hope it
will be a wonderful wedding and once again all the best for the happy couple.
xo
